1. Check the Connection:
USB Cable: Please ensure the camera is securely plugged into a working USB port on your computer. If possible, try using a different USB port (preferably a USB 3.0 port).
Cable Check: If you have another USB cable available, try swapping it out to rule out any issues with the current cable.
2. Power Supply (for Huddly IQ and Pro Models):
If you’re using a powered USB hub, try connecting the camera directly to your computer to ensure it’s receiving enough power.
Check if the camera’s LED lights are on. This indicates the camera is powered up and functioning.
3. Check Your System Settings:
For Windows:
Open Device Manager and look for your camera under Imaging Devices.
If there’s a warning icon next to the camera, try updating the driver.
For Mac:
Go to System Preferences > Sound or Camera, and see if the Huddly camera is listed there.
4. Test the Camera in Another Application:
Try using the camera in a different application like Zoom, Skype, or Google Meet to see if it works there. This will help us determine if the issue is specific to the software you’re using.
5. Restart Your Computer:
Sometimes a simple restart can resolve detection issues, so it’s worth trying this step.
6. Check for Software Updates:
Make sure that both the Huddly software and any video conferencing apps you’re using (e.g., Zoom, Teams) are up to date.
Also, you can check Huddly’s website for any firmware or driver updates for your camera.
7. Review Camera Settings:
If you have the Huddly Vision app installed, open it and make sure the camera settings are configured properly. For example, check that the resolution and aspect ratio are correct.
8. Test the Camera on Another Device:
If you can, try plugging the camera into another computer to see if the issue persists. This can help us determine if the problem is specific to your device.
9. Reset the Camera:
Some Huddly models have a reset option. You can refer to the user manual or try pressing the reset button if your model has one.
10. Close Other Applications Using the Camera:
Ensure no other applications are using the camera at the same time. For example, video recording or security apps might be locking the camera and preventing other programs from accessing it.
11. Use Huddly’s Troubleshooting Software:
If you haven’t already, you can download Huddly’s troubleshooting tool from their website. This can help diagnose and fix any issues with the camera.
