Projector Displaying Odd Colours (e.g., green/pink tint, missing colours)
Before reporting a fault, please review the troubleshooting steps outlined below. These checks may help you quickly identify and resolve the issue. If none of the steps below resolve the problem, it may be that the projector needs replacing or lamp needs swapping out (if lamp based). Please submit a Support Ticket, and be sure to include the serial number of the projector and a member of the team will then contact you to confirm the next steps.
Step 1: Check connections
Ensure HDMI/VGA cable is securely connected.
Try a different cable to rule out damage.
If using adapters (HDMI–VGA, DisplayPort–HDMI), test with a direct connection if possible.
Step 2: Test with another source
Connect a different laptop/media device to see if the issue persists.
If the problem only occurs with one device, it may be a graphics/card setting issue.
Step 3: Adjust projector settings
Navigate to the projector’s menu and check colour settings, input source, and picture mode.
Reset colour settings to factory defaults if unsure.
Step 4: Inspect the lamp (for lamp-based projectors)
Dimming, flickering, or tinted images may indicate a failing lamp.
Check lamp usage hours in the projector’s settings. If close to or beyond rated life, replacement may be needed.
Step 5: Check for dust or filter issues
Dirty lenses or clogged filters can affect colour and clarity. Gently clean with a soft, dry cloth.
