1. Check the Touch Panel or Capture Interface
Look for a recording icon (usually a red circle or “REC”) on the touch panel or capture software.
If visible, the system is actively recording.
2. Look for Status Indicators
Some rooms have LED lights or on-screen indicators near the camera or lectern.
Red or flashing light usually means recording in progress.
Green or off usually means not recording.
3. Confirm Audio and Video
Speak normally into the room microphones and check for audio level indicators on the touch panel.
If sharing slides, ensure the screen content is visible in the recording preview (if available).
4. Optional: Use the Lecture Capture Portal
Some systems allow you to preview the live recording from a web portal.
-
Log in to the portal and check the recording session is active.
Helpful Tips
Start recording a few minutes before the session to verify it works.
Only one session should be recording per room at a time.
Avoid moving microphones or cameras while checking.
If Recording Is Not Active
Tap Start Recording on the touch panel or software.
Ensure the correct microphones and display sources are selected.
